Kildare County Council celebrates the finalisation of a new housing project consisting of 10 units in Ard Sceach, Coill Dubh, Co Kildare. This development, funded under the “Housing for All – a New Housing Plan for Ireland,” offers a mix of energy-efficient properties designed to meet the needs of the community.

Kildare County Council has successfully completed a housing development in Ard Sceach, Coill Dubh, Co Kildare, encompassing 10 units funded through the “Housing for All – a New Housing Plan for Ireland.” This project includes a variety of energy-efficient properties, providing high-quality accommodation to residents in the area.

The development comprises a combination of one, two, and three-bedroom homes, all boasting an A energy rating and featuring top-notch finishes. These properties are equipped with highly insulated and airtight mechanical ventilation systems, heat-pump technology, and efficient heating control systems. Moreover, the units are designed to accommodate different household sizes and are adaptable to meet changing needs.

This initiative addresses the growing demand for social housing in a well-connected area with access to public transport and essential amenities. The completion of this development marks a significant step towards fulfilling the housing needs of the community.

Cllr Daragh Fitzpatrick, the Cathaoirleach of Kildare County Council, expressed his delight at the completion of the housing units, highlighting the council’s commitment to providing essential social housing across the county. Annette Aspell, the Director of Services for Housing & Regeneration at Kildare County Council, commended the achievement of reaching this milestone and emphasised the council’s dedication to meeting the targets set by the Housing for All scheme.

The successful delivery of the 10 housing units in Ard Sceach underscores Kildare County Council’s ongoing efforts to address the housing crisis and ensure that residents have access to quality, affordable housing options.
