Center Parcs has received the green light for a significant €100 million development at its Longford Forest location in Ireland. This ambitious project aims to enhance the resort’s offerings with a range of new facilities and accommodations, ensuring an even more enjoyable experience for visitors.
The planned expansion includes the construction of 198 new lodges, featuring four luxurious treehouses. Additionally, a new restaurant and coffee house will be introduced, providing more dining options for guests. The existing leisure facilities will be extended, and additional car parking spaces will be added to accommodate the increased number of visitors.
One of the highlights of the development is the extension of the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, a popular attraction at the resort. The award-winning Aqua Sana spa will also be expanded, incorporating new treatment rooms and a brand-new treetop sauna, elevating the spa experience to new heights.
Center Parcs Longford Forest emphasised its commitment to sustainability in the development plans. The resort will introduce air-source heat pumps, high-efficiency LED lighting, and solar power to reduce the environmental impact of the new accommodations and central buildings. The project will be carried out in stages to minimise disruption to guests, with construction set to begin in September 2024.
This expansion is expected to enhance the overall guest experience at Center Parcs Longford Forest, offering more accommodation options, dining choices, and leisure activities while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability.
