BAM has returned to profitability across its regional operations, with its Irish division recording an adjusted EBITDA of £14 million on revenue of £232 million.
BAM Construction has returned to profitability in the first half of the year ending June, driven by its civil engineering operations and key public infrastructure projects.
In Ireland, BAM recorded an adjusted EBITDA of £14 million on revenue of £232 million, representing a solid 5.9% margin. The company's performance in Ireland was supported by residential construction work for the Land Development Agency (LDA) alongside ongoing construction progress on the National Children's Hospital in Dublin.
Across the wider UK and Ireland region, total revenue increased by 5% to £1.46 billion during the six-month period. Regional group adjusted EBITDA rose to £58 million, up from £44 million in the previous year, which brought the overall regional profit margin to 4%.
The financial recovery was led primarily by the UK civil engineering division, which generated £41 million in profit from £800 million in revenue, representing an EBITDA margin of 5.2%.
