The transaction secures residential units within the major mixed-use Poolbeg West development at Sandymount Strand. Co-operative Housing Ireland (CHI), acting as the designated approved housing body, is linked to the acquisition of these homes to meet social housing requirements on the site.
The broader Glass Bottle development is planned to deliver about 3,800 homes in total, alongside commercial and community facilities. The residential delivery of the project is being progressed by the Glass Bottle consortium, which includes developers Lioncor and Ronan Group Real Estate. Initial phases of the scheme comprise hundreds of apartments, incorporating both social and affordable housing elements.
While specific financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed, the agreement establishes CHI's role in the delivery and management of social housing units within the new Pembroke Quarter.
