Seanad Éireann has referred proposed draft regulations on exempted development to the Joint Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
Seanad Éireann has referred a proposal to approve draft planning regulations to the Joint Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
Senator Margaret Murphy O'Mahony moved the motion to refer the proposed Planning and Development (Exempted Development (Act of 2000)) (No.6) Regulations 2026 to the joint committee.
The draft regulations were originally laid before Seanad Éireann on 2 July 2026. Under the terms of the referral, which was made in accordance with Standing Order 79(2)(b), the Joint Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage must send a message back to the Seanad in the prescribed manner no later than 15 July 2026.
