2no. Single storey extensions to the histology dept on the side [south] of the main hospital to include for a store, processing room and 2no. Offices. The existing cycle shelter will be repositioned. A single storey extension to the blood transfusion laboratory into the internal courtyard to include for extending the blood transfusion laboratory, and providing an equipment store, office and restroom will also be provided. The existing administration area will be refurbished to include for an acute mid term assessment unit [amau] and 2no. Isolation rooms with external access door. The amau will comprise of a 6 bed ward with ensuite, nurses station, fit room, pantry, linen press, clean & dirty utility and office. All with associated site development works. The development will be carried out within the curtilage of protected structures [ref 23/325 & 23/322]
