A two storey community nursing unit/residential care unit (c. 4,422 sqm total gross floor area (gfa) comprising 50 en-suite bedrooms with associated resident accommodation including dining rooms, kitchenettes, day rooms, sun rooms, activities room, quiet rooms, resident areas with family overnight room, treatment room, hairdresser room etc; internal courtyards and first floor terrace spaces; associated back of house areas (including kitchen and laundry areas); staff accommodation and ancillary office space; a new access to the site from a 4 arm roundabout on glenconnor road, realigning the existing entrance and boundary walls to south tipperary general hospital, within the curtilage of a protected structure (a roundabout was previously permitted as this location under reg. Ref. 15600365); the existing access road adjacent to western road will become a pedestrian only. Permission is also sought for associated landscaping, site services, waste storage areas, esb sub-station (26 sqm) and generators; and all associated site and development works.
