Friday 18 September 2026
An Coimisiún Pleanála has outlined the agenda and speaking limits for the upcoming oral hearing on the Sligo City Campus Regeneration Project Compulsory Purchase Order.
An Coimisiún Pleanála has published the oral hearing agenda for Sligo County Council's compulsory purchase order for the Sligo City Campus Regeneration Project.
The hearing, under case reference ACP-323703-25, concerns the Sligo County Council Compulsory Purchase (No.1) Order. Under the scheduled agenda, Sligo County Council will have a maximum of 30 minutes to present a brief overview of the order, details of previous engagement with objectors, a justification for the acquisition of houses or land with reference to alternatives considered, and responses to written submissions.
The objectors, identified as Martin O’Connor and Jim Wallace (or their representatives), will also have a maximum of 30 minutes to make their submission. A questioning period between the parties may follow, starting with Sligo County Council questioning the objectors.
The purpose of the oral hearing is to allow parties to make further submissions and enable the Inspector to seek clarification on objections and outstanding issues. Written submissions already received will be considered by the Inspector and the Commission, meaning they do not need to be repeated at the hearing.
