Development finance lender Ardcairn Capital has established a permanent office in Cork city after deploying €1 billion in funding over the past five years.

The specialist lender, which is backed by M&G plc, has funded the construction of more than 5,000 homes across the social, affordable, and private sectors, as well as purpose-built student accommodation.

The new office, located at Horgan’s Quay in Cork city, is intended to serve growing demand and a pipeline of development opportunities across Munster. The Cork branch will host a dedicated lending and portfolio management team, providing developers in the region with direct access to local decision-makers during the financing and delivery stages.

Additionally, Ardcairn Capital has appointed Dan Murphy as its new Director of New Lending. Murphy, who previously worked with EY and Activate Capital, will oversee new business operations across residential developments and student accommodation nationwide.
