Castlethorn secures €100m investment to fund 7,000-home pipeline in Greater Dublin Area

Irish developer Castlethorn has secured a €100 million capital commitment from Avenue Capital Group to accelerate residential delivery in the Greater Dublin Area.

The funding has been secured through a newly established investment vehicle in which Avenue Capital Group will hold a minority stake. The capital will support both Castlethorn's current residential pipeline and future land acquisitions.

Initially, the partnership will back residential developments on sites already under Castlethorn’s control, which hold an estimated capacity of approximately 4,000 homes. The agreement also provides capacity to acquire new land in the Greater Dublin Area to accommodate an additional 3,000 homes.

Combined, these projects represent a projected residential pipeline of more than 7,000 homes, with actual delivery subject to planning permissions, phasing, and prevailing market conditions.

This investment is intended to support Castlethorn's long-term expansion. Having completed 1,150 homes in 2025, the housebuilder is targeting a doubling of its annual delivery rate by 2028.
