Construction Begins on Game of Thrones Studio Tour Car Park in County Down

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council has approved a permanent 150-space car park at the County Down tourist attraction.
Construction has commenced on a new permanent 150-space car park at the Game of Thrones Studio Tour in County Down.
The development follows planning approval from Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, which was granted on 6 May 2026.
Since opening in 2022, the tourism venue has operated without on-site parking. Visitors have instead been required to park at an off-site location at The Boulevard in Banbridge and travel to the main entrance via a shuttle bus service.
Banbridge-based contractor Gibson Bros is carrying out the construction works. The project is expected to take approximately three months to complete, with a target completion date in October.
According to official visitor information, the off-site shuttle parking arrangement remains in place for guests while the construction work is underway.
