The planning process for Indaver's proposed waste-to-energy incinerator at Ringaskiddy in Cork Harbour has faced a fresh delay.
The proposed waste-to-energy facility has been subject to planning and legal procedures for over 25 years. The current proceedings follow a High Court decision that quashed an earlier planning permission, resulting in the case being remitted and the planning process reopened.
During the latest stage of this remitted process, the public consultation period for observations on the revised application concluded on 17 November. The proposal continues to draw significant local attention, with more than 600 submissions submitted in response to the revised plans.
The case remains under assessment following these latest steps in the remitted planning process.
