Geobear Achieves Irish Building Regulations Certification for Geopolymer Technology
Sunday 12 July 2026
Ground engineering specialist Geobear has secured Irish Building Regulations compliance via British Board of Agrément certification for its resin injection technology.
Ground engineering specialist Geobear has become the first resin injection company to achieve verified compliance with Irish Building Regulations through its British Board of Agrément (BBA) certification.
The certification marks the firm as the first and only resin injection specialist to secure this specific compliance in Ireland. The company has held BBA certification for its geopolymer injection technology in the UK since 2021, and is recognised as the only geopolymer injection company globally to have earned this achievement.
This certification serves as a benchmark for product quality and fitness for purpose, validating the non-invasive ground engineering methods used by the firm. While BBA Agrément certification is accepted for UK building regulations where harmonised standards are absent, the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) Agrément certification remains the applicable scheme for the Republic of Ireland, distinguishing this Irish-specific BBA compliance.
