Monday 17 August 2026
Pinergy has announced a 7.6% electricity price increase starting 14 September 2026, adding around €169 to typical annual domestic bills.
Pinergy will increase its electricity prices by 7.6% from 14 September 2026, adding an estimated €169 to a typical annual household bill.
According to calculations from Bonkers.ie, this latest adjustment will raise the standard 24-hour unit rate to 42.02c per kilowatt-hour, inclusive of VAT. The supplier's standing charge is scheduled to remain unchanged during this pricing cycle.
This is Pinergy’s second price increase in less than a year. The adjustment follows similar upward price movements announced by other major retail energy providers in Ireland, including Electric Ireland, Yuno Energy, Flogas, and PrePayPower. Cumulative calculations from Bonkers.ie indicate that when the new rates take effect, Pinergy customers will be paying nearly €370 more per year compared to last year's costs.
