Seanad approves draft Planning and Development Exempted Development Regulations 2026

Seanad Éireann has approved the draft Planning and Development (Exempted Development (Act of 2000)) Regulations 2026.

The motion to approve the draft regulations was moved in the Seanad by Senator Garret Ahearn on 16 July 2026.

This approval follows the laying of the draft regulations before Seanad Éireann on 2 July 2026. The regulations are prepared under the Planning and Development Act 2000, which governs exempted development provisions within the Irish planning system.
