Walls Construction establishes technology subsidiary to target data centres and life sciences

Saturday 4 July 2026

Walls Construction has established a new subsidiary, Walls Technology Limited, to target high-growth projects including data centres and life sciences.

Irish building contractor Walls Construction has established a new subsidiary, Walls Technology Limited (WTL), to focus on high-growth and technically complex sectors. This new division will target projects in the data centre, life sciences, and food and beverage sectors.

The parent company, which was founded in 1950 and recorded a turnover of €670 million in 2025, currently employs 525 people. The creation of WTL is intended to help the company achieve a more balanced sectoral portfolio, building on its traditional activity in education, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.

WTL is already undertaking major projects across Ireland, Belgium, and Finland for clients such as Merck, Bausch & Lomb, and Hovione. The contractor's leadership team expects these technology sector operations to drive an increase in overseas-generated revenue in the coming years.

Alongside the launch of the new subsidiary, Walls Construction has appointed Adrian Corcoran as Managing Director and Frank Kelly as Executive Chairperson. Both individuals have been with the firm for more than two decades, having joined in 2000 and 1992 respectively, and were promoted to the Board of Directors in 2007.
