Radius Housing has commenced site works on a £5.18 million social housing development in Newry, which is scheduled for completion in September 2028.

The project at Drumgullion, located north of 78 Armagh Road, is being delivered through a Design & Build Agreement with GEDA Construction. Planning approval for the development was originally secured in 2020.

Funding for the £5.18 million total cost comprises £2.5 million in grant funding alongside £2.6 million in private investment.

The finished scheme will provide a mix of family homes, including wheelchair-accessible units to support local community needs. On-site setup is currently ongoing after construction activity began on March 31, 2026.

Upon its projected completion and handover in September 2028, the wider Drumgullion development area is expected to accommodate approximately 89 people.
