The proposed development will consist of: a) extension to existing outbuildings to consist of the provision of 88m2 of visitor accommodation, comprising of entrance lobby, exhibition foyer, café & toilets b) conservation and refurbishment of existing outbuildings for exhibition use c) conservation and refurbishment of existing lightkeepers cottages d) hard and soft landscaping to rear courtyard e) connection to existing site services. F) remove existing prefabricated wc and existing ticket booth. G) all associated site works. Clare county council has carried out an appropriate assessment (aa) screening report and has determined that a full appropriate assessment is not required in respect of this proposed development. Clare county council has carried out an environmental impact assessment (eia) screening report in accordance with the requirements of article 120(1b)(b)(i) and has determined that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment. Accordingly, it has been determined that eia is not required in respect of this proposed development. The building is a protected structure no. S 338 and 339 and a recorded monument no. Cl071-002. An architectural heritage impact assessment has been prepared in accordance with the planning & development acts 2000 (as amended). An archaeological impact assessment has been carried out on the project in recognition of the national monuments (amended) acts 1930-2014 and recorded monuments established under section 12 of the national monuments (amendment) act 1994
