For the development which consists of works to an existing ancillary building on the grounds of ennis general hospital (egh), a protected structure (rps no. 802, niah no: 20002020), which currently houses the egh pathology laboratory, a boiler room, redundant generator room and store rooms. The development works will comprise the removal of existing partition walls and internal reconfigurations to provide an open plan pathology laboratory for haematology and biochemistry, with an entrance lobby for sample drop off and collection and other ancillary accommodation including a staff room, office, and store room; internal wall lining to thermally upgrade the building fabric; a new external plant enclosure centrally located at roof level to be accessed by altering and extending the existing external stairs with an additional stair flight; external conservation works to include the removal of later additions to the parapet wall, the reinstatement of a window opening (currently used as a door) on the south façade, the removal of attached service fittings, replacement of all non-original doors & windows, and repair works to the external render; along with associated site works and site services works for all of the above, all at the grounds of ennis general hospital,
