Additional bedrooms at ground floor level (52 no. New bedrooms overall), the existing 28 no. Hotel bedrooms are to be renovated creating a total of 80 no. Bedrooms. It is proposed to provide 2 no. 2 storey extensions to the front of the street facade (west elevation fronting the r257) of the existing hotel bar and restaurant to provide a cafe and additional restaurant area at ground floor level and the construction of 2 no. First floor apartments. It is also proposed to carry out internal alterations to the restaurant, reception area, new toilets and plant rooms and demolition of part of the building to remove the existing nightclub and toilet block to facilitate the new hotel rooms and gym. Ancillary car parking (94 car spaces) and coach set down for patrons of the hotel, and all associated site development and engineering works including a new wastewater treatment plant necessary to facilitate the development.
