- This is a residential conservation area. The development will consist of: the exterior and internal renovation of the house. Repointing of the front and rear and side brick facade and cleaning of granite details. The removal of the concrete path and driveway to the front garden to allow for new pedestrian terracotta front path and new granite step and beach gravel to the front garden and side drive. Allow for new double glazed sash windows to first floor to match original detail. Allow for new hardwood double glazed windows to the front bay window with single glazed stained glass top panel to match original detail. The current bay windows are not original. Allow for the conservation of the front door and fan light and the reinstatement of stained glass side panels. The removal of asbestos slates in compliance with current regulations to allow for new roof with natural slates, repair to chimney stacks and the removal of the modern chimney pots to allow for reinstatement of original yellow chimney pots and new cast iron/cast aluminium down pipes and gutters. Allow for new dormer rooflight to rear with slate roof and hardwood timber double glazed window to light new stairs to attic study and new velux rooflight to rear to light new attic study. New side arched double glazed hardwood sash window to side elevation. To the side elevation on ground floor allow for new hardwood double glazed door and new bay window with hardwood double glazing and slate roof. Allow for no 2 new velux window to return roof. To the rear of the rear garden (20 sq. Ms) the construction of a single storey gazebo with pitched slate roof, hardwood double glazed doors and red brick with granite lintel expressed with contemporary edge detailing.
