The development is within an overall application area of 11.09 hectares. Permission is being sought for a total period of 20 years; the sand and gravel extraction operational period is for 20 years. A licence application will be made to the environmental protection agency (epa) for relevant activities. An environmental impact assessment report (eiar) has been prepared and submitted in respect of this planning application.
