Development description

For extensions to the existing dairy processing facility. The proposed extensions will incorporate a new warehouse similar height to existing, five storey production building 46.25m high, evaporator building similar height to existing two storey extension to the production building/wet process similar height as existing, single storey extension to the utility building, new boiler building similar height to existing (with new exhaust stack 45m), new dairy intake building similar height to existing, single storey extension to the sprinkler building, as well as some additional other items of external plant and machinery, pipe bridges, ingredient silos and refrigeration plant. The proposed extensions also includes landscaping, internal road changes with lighting and ancillary external works, including underground services and the relocation of the existing waste yard and contractor's compound, roof mounted items of plant and equipment with access platforms. In addition to this a construction compound will be formed, which on completion of construction will be removed, and the landscaping will be re-instated to match existing. The total new building area is approx. 12,043sqm. The proposed extensions are located within the existing site boundary of 51.01 acres (20.64 hectares approx. ) this application relates to development which comprises of an activity which requires an industrial emissions licence in accordance with the first schedule of the epa act 1992 as amended. An environment impact statement and a natura impact statement will be submitted to the planning authority with the application
