For proposed development which will consist of a 20kv grid connection from the consented ballytobin solar farm to the existing 38kv esb substation south of callan co. Kilkenny. The grid connection is 3.6km long. The grid connection line will consist of c. 496m of overhead line and c. 3.1km of underground cable. The cable ducting will be located in the existing road verge and in the road itself with short section of c. 25m on the solar farm to connect to the overhead line. The applicaiton is accompanied by a natura impact statement (nis). An appropiate period of 10 years (ie. Duration of the planning permission to construct the development) is sought, with an operational life of up to 30 years after the date of commissioning
