Permission sought for alterations to existing gate entrance to (former rear) entrance gateway to capard house, capard demesne / skerry rosenallis. The propose development relates to an element of capard house which is a protected structure (rps ref : 434_a_b_c) . The proposed works consists of (a) carefully dismantle the existing gates and ancillary heritage ironwork; (b) carefully dismantle the gateway surround masonry walls (the dressed stonework, rubble stones in the fabric of the existing walls, etc. - for later reuse in the walls as set back); (c) alter the line of the gateway and surrouning walls so as to improve sightlines by setting that line back to new gateway/surround wall line as shown on the drawing; (d) (re) construct the gateway and surround walls to include a wider gateway opening; a pedestrian gateway, appropriate new dressed stone piers and capping; (e) have the existing gateway ironwork extended by a heritage blacksmith so as to provide for a wider gateway opening; (f) provide a new pedestrian gate (by heritage blacksmith) to match the pattern of the existing gates; (g) surface water drainage to existing internal surface water disposal system, (h) completion of hard and soft landscaping as shown on the drawings (i) fitting of automatic electro-mechanical gate operation system (j) related ancillary works
