Permission for development will consist of; refurbishment of the existing maintenance depot building 1590m2 to include reroofing the entire building, refurbishment and addition to the staff facilities, infilling the maintenance pits, sub-division of the shed to form a parts store, lubrication store, type store and wheel change. Repair work to the existing brick facade and recladding to the western facade. The construction of a new maintenance facility 1000m2 with a link to the existing maintenance depot building and to include purpose made hydraulic hoists, lighting, exhaust extract and incorporating the bus éireann logo. Demolition of the infill shed connection 1473m2 between the existing maintenance depot to the former railway wagon shed adjacent the railway as well as outhouses. Removal of existing fuel storage tanks. Making good to the eastern facade of the former railway wagon shed 1704m2 including roof repairs. Construction of a new bus fuelling facility incorporating fuel pumps engine oil storage and screen rinse. Construction of a bus wash/chassis wash facility including header tanks, equipment room, pumps and travelling gantry. Demolition of a disused corrugated iron garage at the entrance to the depot. The bus maintenance depot is a protected structure.
