Extension of duration of 14361: permission for development that will primarily consist of the refurbishment of the existing louth 275kv substation & will comprise: replacement and/or reconfiguration of existing circuit breakers, disconnects, instrument transformers & surge arrestors with equivalent new circuit breakers, disconnects, instrument transformers & surge arrestors; modificaitons to existing generator room comprising new opes on northern & western elevations to facilitate the provision of a new internal diesel generator; removal of existing underground oil storage tank & provision of new overground oil storage tank of less than 3,500 litre capacity within the footprint of existing generator room; relocation of existing 110kv capacitor bank from north east of site compound to north west of site compound; provision of two new 110kv wing couplers & the replacement of existing 110kv off-line couplers with two new 110kv in-line couplers; installation of 30 no. Protection & control cabins approximately 3.75 metre length & 3.15 metre wide x 3.5 metre height located adjacent to existing bays; installation of 12 no. New 110kv & 9 no. New 220kv surge arrestors. Installation of 22 no. Lightning rods, approximately 2.5 metre high, on top of existing 110kv busbar gantries; installation of 1 no. New lightning mast, approximatly 15 metres high; associated extension of site compound to the north by 2,671 square metres to enhance internal vehicular movement within the substation; this will include associated new perimeter fencing on the nothern side of the substation; installation of new electrified fence (approximatly 3.6 metres in height) inside the existing palisade fence (approximately 2.6 metres in height); and all associated site development works.
