Permission for: the construction of an extension to the existing food processing plant consisting of the removal of the existing stairs at the south elevation of the current building and a two storey, 10.1 metre high production and warehouse extension to the south of the existing building with a total gross floor area of 1,661sqms (ground floor area is 1,036sqms and a first floor area of 625sqms). This will include a fire escape at the west and east elevations of the extension. The fire escape stairs on the west elevation are set behind a panel. There is also a single storey 5.5metre high extension to the south of the ancillary office/staff welfare building with a gross floor area of 130sqms. The application includes permission for a smoking shelter; drainage works; amendments to car parking area to include an additional mobility space (two in total); photovoltaic panels on the roof of the existing building and proposed extension; landscaping, boundary treatments and all associated development works. The development also consists of retention permission for: a second dock leveller at the south east of the existing facility and two roofed and caged structures used to shelter outdoor storage areas at the rear (east of the building). Retention of the training room at the south west corner of the building which will be removed at the commencement of works of the above proposed development. Existing smoking shelter next to the training room to be removed and may be reused for the smoking shelter proposed above. Bike shelter and 16 cycle parking spaces at the north west corner of the building
