The proposed development consists of: one temporary for a period of three years, 100m high cable stayed triangular steel lattice tower meteorological mast fixed upon a wooden sleeper base of 2.4m x 2.4m; one lightning finial fitted to the higher level of the mast; one anti-climb device fitted to the lower level of the mast; 12 no. Buried ground anchors located within three ‘lanes’ at 21m, 42m, 56m and 60m radii from the mast base; meteorological instrumentation for measuring local climate conditions fixed to the meteorological mast including but not limited to: anemometers, wind vanes, temperature & pressure sensors; shelter box with data logger and 100w photovoltaic panel fitted to the lower level of the mast; bird flight deterrents discs fitted to each guy wire at approximately 10m intervals; obstacle warning light fitted to the higher level of the mast; all associated infrastructure and ancillary works. A natura impact statement has been prepared and will be submitted with the planning application.
