The proposed access forms an additional arm at the proposed signalised junction, with associated junction upgrade works including the provision of improved pedestrian and cycle infrastructure, rearrangement of on street parking and landscaping. The proposed development also includes amendments to part of the kells backlands mixed use town centre development to the south, permitted under an bord pleanála reg ref pl17.234285 ( meath county council reg ref:kt800014) to integrate the proposed access into the permitted internal roadways and infrastructure, including associated revisions to drainage infrastructure. The proposed development also incorporates the diversion and revised culverting of the newrath stream through the subject site to the existing outfall at headfort park; together with all associated drainage, landscaping and site development works.
