It is proposed to install a total of 112 modular battery enclosures and 28 medium voltage power system (mvps) enclosures. The proposed development will utilise the existing customer (ipp) building and electrical infrastructure on site to connect to the grid via the 110kv derrycarney transmission substation, which adjoins the bess facility. The proposed development will be accessed from the existing bess facility site entrance located along the r357 regional road. A secondary access point will be provided to the development from an existing access point serving the development lands from mill road (l70099 west of the site) and this will be utilised for construction stage works and for emergency use during the operational phase of the development. The development areas will be secured by perimeter fencing
