Retail unit 04a is currently occupied by the 'hobby airsoft and the camo shop'. This tenant would like to lease retail unit 04b next door which is currently empty as he would like to expand shop into this unit and offer the same range of products as is currently offered at present in retail unit 04a. Our question is - is there a need to apply for planning permission to do this having regard to the fact that it is already a retail zoned unit and he will not be changing the use or making any substantial material alterations to the unit nor is there any proposals to affect the window or door openings on the external elevations.
