  • The development will comprise the construction of a new milk drying facility at the site of their existing milk processing plant. The development works shall include the following elements
  • (a) construction of "dryer 2" building to accommodate new dryer and associated utility plant with upper floors and platforms provided at various levels within the building to support and facilitate access to the new plant systems; (b) construction of a single storey loading bay building adjoining the new dryer building incorporating 2 no. Internal truck loading bays and 1 no. External truck loading dock facility; (c) upgrade works to existing on-site waste water treatment plant; (d) demolition works to facilitate construction of the new dryer and loading bay building including demolition of an existing warehouse building and adjoining dispatch and store buildings, demolition of existing butter store building and removal of disused storage tanks together with associated bund structure and canopy roof structure over. ; (e) works ancillary to the above include drainage works and installation of a temporary bridge crossing over the river ara to facilitate use of the adjacent hotel site as a temporary construction compound area during the development of the new dryer facility. The development works relate to an activity for which a revised integrated pollution prevention and control licence is required.
