Development description

This application extends to the the demolition of an semi attached single storey (3.. 495m high) section of an existing dwelling, the construction of a new single storey extension (4.42m high) in its place, alterations to the existing side and rear elevations, an extended driveway and all associated site works at. The main single storey dwelling (4.46m high) is to remain. The purpose of the proposed development is to create a more functional multi-generational home for a father and adult son, the existing semi attached section of the dwelling is too small to facilitate the addition of an adequately functioning bathroom, kitchenette and living space in addition the size of the site is not condusive for any additional development so a remove and replace solution is more appropriate. The remaining elements of the proposed design are in response to the knock on effects of the proposed extension; the driveway is indicated as extended (with additional gullies) to retain two car spaces and the internal layout of the main dwelling has amendments which counter the removal of windows due to the position of the extension, this in turn requires new external amendments amounting to glazing/doors.
