For the following proposed development: ennis active travel towns route 1 scheme incorporates the introduction of on-road cycle lanes and shared use paths from a point on the r469 quin road at the entrance to bruach na habhainn housing to the western edge of the r469 quin road rail bridge. The proposed development will entail the following: a) installation of fingerpost directional signage on the r469, b) installation of road markings on the r469, c) alteration of sections of the existing footpath to accommodate shared use path, d) installation of new footpaths, e) alteration of the kerbline at various locations, f) alteration of kerbline radius at doora industrial estate entrance, g) widening of existing footpath over doora bridge, h) relocation of lighting column, i) introduction of shared use street for carriageway over doora bridge, j)installation of zebra crossing including belisha beacons on the r469 linking clare county camogie grounds to bruach na habhainn/filling station, k) installation of zebra crossing on r469 outside clare marts and l) installation of tactile paving at various locations.
