Development description

  • To carry out, as part of the "safe routes to school" scheme, the following development
  • Construction a 270m footpath on the northwestern side of the r458, opposite the school, and provide 36 no. Parallel car parking spaces
  • Install a controlled pedestrian crossing at the school and 2 no. Uncontrolled pedestrian crossings, one to the north and one to the south, all of these will be raised crossings
  • Remove existing centerline hatching and yellow road edge markings and replace centerline in new location
  • Install new pencil bollards on existing path, and "school zone" road markings
  • Install additional public lighting columns and associated ancillary works to tie into existing public lighting system
  • Relocation of existing gullies, tapping into existing surface drainage system
  • Provision of associated signage and road markings
  • All associated and ancillary site works. In accordance with the birds and natural habitats directive, screening for appropriate assessment has been carried out on the project.
