Permission for a residential scheme on a site adjacent to telus international, loughmahon link road (r852), mahon, cork city. The proposed scheme will consist of the demolition of existing geodesic dome (66.1m2) and the construction of 204 apartments across three no. Blocks ranging in height from 5-7 storeys in height comprising 98 no. 1 bed units, 63 no. 2 bed units and 43 no. 3 bed units. The proposed development also consists of the construction of a creche facility (217.2m2), communal amenity rooms, plant rooms, lobby areas, outdoor amenity spaces, 54 surface car parking spaces, 460 indoor bicycle parking spaces as well as associated bin storage. Access is proposed via the existing vehicular access onto the loughmahon link road/r852 to the west, the southern most vehicular access (existing) is proposed for removal. The proposed development also includes landscaping, drainage, roads, surface and boundary treatments, pedestrian crossing, and all associated site development works. The proposed development would be a material contravention of the development plan.
