- For a ten year permission for the phased development of a new bridge, together with boardwalk connections to provide a shared pedestrian and cycle link between grenville place, the existing tyndall campus at lee maltings on the south bank of the river lee and distillery fields, north mall, t23xa50 and the proposed tyndall national institute facility on distillery fields, north mall, cork t23xa50 (planning application reference 21/40068). The proposed development will consist of: phase
- A new structure will tie into the existing banks-of-the-lee-walkway and the boardwalks and paths that will run along the south façade of the former bottling plant that are to be constructed as part of the proposed tyndall north building. This new structure will create a podium connection to receive phase 2, the future north mall bridge. Phase
- A circa 58m long x 4m wide tri-span bridge on two structural piers connecting the existing tyndall national institute campus at lee maltings on the south to distillery fields (north mall) site and boardwalks constructed in phase
