Expp: proposed works consist solely of the repair/replacement on a like for like basis of existing balcony railings, timber deck flooring & associated exposed steel elements to 15no. Apartments, on the north & south elevations of the development, due to excessive deterioration, corrosion & loss of strength identified during structural inspection. The main steel supports to existing balconies are structurally sound and will be retained in full. Secondary steel (railings) will be replaced as necessary on a like for like basis. Balcony flooring will be replaced as necessary. Replacement railings will comprise galvanised coated steel in similar dimension. Configuration & appearance to the existing balconies. No extension, enlargement or material alteration to the existing balconies or building envelope is proposed the consistent character & appearance of the building will be maintained.
