- Extend the existing rear extension by approximately 10.53m², bringing the extended structure flush with the side boundary wall to the north-west
- Demolish one wall of the existing extension (the wall containing the single aluminium door) and partially demolish the existing rear wall of the main dwelling (which currently contains a window) to create a single open-plan kitchen- dining-living area
- The remaining section of the original rear wall will function as a partial internal wall, supported in accordance with structural advice provided by a qualified engineer, who has advised on the appropriate steel supports and load-bearing requirements for the proposed alterations
- Replace the existing single-glazed window with a triple-glazed window and install a new sliding glazed door, both located on the rear elevation of the extension (facing north east)
- Install two rooflights within the flat roof of the extended structure to provide natural light to the internal living space
- External finishes, including render and roof treatments, will match those of the existing dwelling to maintain a consistent appearance. The proposed works are intended to enhance the functionality, comfort, and energy efficiency of the dwelling while maintaining its overall character and visual consistency within the terrace
