  • Retention: permission is sought to retain plant infrastructure and associated maintenance access ladders constructed on the roof level (primarily at block c) of the completed and occupied student accommodation and build-to-rent residential development (strategic housing development) permitted under an bord pleanála ref. Abp-303436-19, as amended under abp-305483-19. Existing plant and structures proposed to be retained at the roof level of block c include the following: - a 24.5 sqm packaged plantroom enclosed by steel panelling with a height of 2.7m above roof parapet level, together with an adjoining external heat pump enclosed by acoustic louvers with a height of 2.8m above parapet level. Associated elements immediately surrounding these structures include 2 no. Steel step overs and a 1.1m high steel railing along the roof parapet to the south of the heat pump enclosure. - a 13.25 sqm cold water storage tank and an associated booster pump set (set within a stainless steel enclosure). The storage tank sits on a 1.2m high raised steel platform, with the top of the tank being approximately 3.4m above the roof parapet height. A roof ladder is provided on the eastern elevation of the tank for access and maintenance purposes
