The planning application is accompanied by an environmental impact assessment report (eiar). The eiar contains an assessment of the proposed development, the subject of the planning application to fingal county council, and the future related substation, grid connection route and gas infrastructure. The development consists of an activity for which an industrial emissions licence is required. The application site is located within lands which are categorised as lower tier comah site (huntstown power station) and therefore fall under the requirements of the control of major accident hazard (comah) regulations, 2015.
