The development a solar pv farm and battery storage facility. The proposed development will be comprised of 143,469 no. (280,000 sq. Meters) photovoltaic (pv) galvanised steel, or aluminium panels on ground mounted frames, 18 no. Inverter/transformer stations (containing 34 no. Inverters and 18 no. Transformers), 1 no. Solar farm substation, 1 no. Battery storage facility (containing 60 no. Battery containers, 14 no. Converter containers and 14 no. Step-up transformers), grid connection to the adjoining eirgrid clahane 110kv substation, and all ancillary development including 1 no. Temporary construction compound, 3 no. Temporary storage areas, underground internal electrical cabling, upgrade of existing site entrance, 2, 100m of new internal access tracks, upgrade of 2,550m of existing internal access tracks, felling of approximately 24.3ha of coniferous forestry, 4,360m of perimeter fencing 2.8m high, cctv cameras and landscaping.
