Development description

Of: (a) existing building as constructed on site for the purposes of an end of life facility (elv), car recycling and associated works and activities ancillary to car recycling (refer to items listed in section c below). Retention permission is required for internal layout modifications to ground floor and first floor of previously permitted and approved car recycling depot. A portion of the first floor layout is used as an office area for use as an online sales depot. External door and window arrangements have deviated from the parent permission as a result of internal layout changes. (b) retention permission for increase in site boundaries from permitted parent planning permission ref. 05/825 to include lands to the south of the previously permitted development. (c) retention permission for storage of vehicle recycling components such as steel, aluminium, tyres, batteries, copper, lead, glass, oils and vehicle fluids. (d) retention permission for vehicle crushing machine and storage of crushed stackable vehicles on site. (e) retention of 2 no. Weighbridges to the north of the existing building. (f) permission for the use of lands to the west of existing lands for storage of vehicles and parking of staff vehicles. Permission is required to lower the proposed additional lands by approximately 1.5 metres to be consistent with existing land permitted as a car recycling depot, construction of perimeter landscaped berms (by using the soils on site to lower the grounds described in f) to screen the proposed development and to be consistent with existing landscape berms and all associated site works
