The proposed development will consist of additional infrastructure service facilities for the approved single storey extension (an bord pleanala ref. No. Pl09.243522 and kildare county planning register ref. No. 14/102). This will take the form of rationalisation of ancillary services in the existing home by relocation of catering kitchens, laundry, standby generator, bin and oil storage areas, esb substation, cycle stands, catering and nursing staff changing and welfare facilities away from the existing service yard environs to more accessible locations on the site. The areas vacated by kitchen, laundry and staff changing will accommodate activity room and stores on the ground floor and storage/medical rooms on the first floor. The proposal also includes for the provision of additional hairdressing, therapy suites and the relocation of a two storey fire escape stairway for compliance with fire regulations. The proposal will provide for revised road arrangement, additional parking, drainage, storm water attenuation, relocated covered cycle stand and a revised landscape scheme
