For development at a site of c. 2.47 hectares located to the north of st. Brigid’s primary school’s existing sports ground, south of “abbey villa”, monasterevin road and north-east of the kildare tourist outlet village (permitted under planning reg. Refs. 04/927 and pl09.241321, 12/61), and accessible from the nurney road via the kildare tourist outlet village, kildare town. The proposed development will consist of amendments to the permitted development previously granted under kildare county council reg. Ref. No. 17/539 and an bord pleanála reg. Ref. No. 300795-18. The proposed amendments include: (i) revisions to the permitted car park including revised layout, location, levels and lighting plan; alterations to the car park access points; minor relocation to the internal access road; and the relocation and enlargement of the car park pavilion building to create a canopied structure of c. 177sqm; (ii) public realm improvements at the entrance square and amended landscaping works; (iii) revisions to the permitted service yards including an increase in the service yard wall height for screening purposes; enlarging the permitted substation (c. 67sqm) and the provision of a new esb substation (c. 64sqm); the provision of pedestrian access gates; the addition of a communications room (c. 20sqm); the rationalisation of external service yard doors and the addition of a roof plant access door; the enlargement of the staff welfare building to c. 213sqm including a height increase from 1 storey to 2 storey dormer; (iv) the provision of photovoltaic panels on the rear roofline of units 61a, 61b and units 105-115; (v) minor modifications at roof level to units 60, 93, 102, 105 and 106 and an increase in height (c. 1200mm) to unit 61a; (vi) the removal of condition no. 18(a) of the kildare county council reg.
