(relating to main house and bar/lobby areas on a site of c. 0.397 hectares). Carton house is a protected structure. (a) construction of a new main entrance to the carton house hotel (connecting to the permitted hotel lobby under reg. Ref. 19/895) comprising a bronze portal frame encasing the existing original gate pillars (to be retained) with an additional c. 38.30 sqm of floor area (between new entrance and hotel lobby). The proposed works include removal of a portion of a non-original fabric wall to the rear of the eastern pillar and removal of a portion of rubble wall adjoining the western pillar; (b) removal of the existing modern entrance door to the former game larder (current main hotel entrance) and its replacement with new timber french doors; (c) replacement of the existing non-original full height window located on the internal elevation to the lobby/reception, with a single panel door; (d) provision of ducting within the existing service kitchens of the main house (including 2 no. 300mm openings within the wall), extending (internally) from the service kitchens, within the interior of the building to a new air extractor air handling unit within the roof space, exiting via a new roof vent in line with the existing roof profile
