Development description

Develop a cheese manufacturing facility within the togher national enterprise park. The development will comprise of a main building which will facilitate a cheese blending process, an office block for admin. And technical support staff and external buildings to service the proposed facility. The development will generally consist of the following elements, the main production building (area = 15,400 sq m) including 5 no external dock loading bays, 14.5 m high glazed front entrance porch, roof mounted equipment and screening for same; external raised condenser platform and equipment, external yard slab area, wastewater pre-treatment plant (wwtp), contractors compound (area = 4,500 sq m), waste storage building 1; waste storage building 2; car park for staff and visitors (94 spaces); trailer parking area (6 spaces); external material storage building; chemical compound; bike shed; bin store; security barrier; security perimeter fence; process cleaning equipment area with associated bunded tanks; esb building; transformer house; water treatment building and water storage tank; sprinkler building and sprinkler water storage tank; 2 no services pipe bridges; firewater retention system; surface water, foul and effluent drainage; storm water retention and oil/fuel separator; access roads; equipment storage yard area/contractors compound; building and site corporate signage; external lighting; landscaping; 4.0 m high landscaped berm; waste compactor; 4.0 m wide fire tender access track and all associated site and ancillary works. An environmental impact assessment report (eiar) formerly known as an eis has been prepared as part of the planning application. An industrial emissions licence application will be submitted to the epa for the proposed development.
