The development will consist of alterations to a previously permitted wind farm development (planning register references 14/139 & 19/597 (laois), 14/202, 15/629 & 19/787 (kilkenny) and 14/510138 & 15/600924 (tipperary)) where the permitted development also extends into the townlands of bruckana , baunmore and rathpatrick, county kilkenny and killoran near templetuohy, county tipperary. The proposed alterations will consist of: increasing the tip height of the two permitted turbines from a maximum of 156m to a maximum of 169m and extending the operational lifetime of the wind farm, from the date of commissioning, from 25 years to 30 years. A ten-year permission is sought. The application is accompanied by a natura impact statement, planning report and environmental considerations report. Lisheen iii wind farm limited also intends to apply to kilkenny county council for planning permission for development at bruckana, baunmore and rathpatrick, county kilkenny.
