Provide for the upgrade of the ballyroan wastewater treatment plant and will comprise of the following: installation of an additional new sequence batch reactor (sbr) wastewater treatment stream complete with flow splitter chamber, air blowers, sludge wasting pumps and effluent pipework; installation of a new above ground storm water holding tank complete with internal cleaning system, flow return system and associated access stairs and platform; installation of a new above ground sludge holding tank complete with internal decant system and associated access stairs and platform; installation of tertiary filter; installation of wash water pumping station; installation of a grp kiosk to house electrical control panel and all ancillary site works. A natura impact statement (nis) has been prepared in respect of the proposed development.
